Frequently asked questions
How do I add a medication?
Open DoseLeft, tap the plus button, and choose the form: inhaler, drops, or tablets. Enter the total number of doses in the container and your daily usage. DoseLeft will start counting down from there.
When will I get a reminder?
By default DoseLeft sends you a notification about a week before a medication is projected to run out, so you have time to refill the prescription. Make sure notifications are enabled for DoseLeft in iOS Settings under Notifications.
Does my data sync between devices?
iCloud sync is optional and off by default. Turn it on in the Settings screen inside the app. When enabled, your medication list is synced through your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. We do not run any servers and have no access to your data.
Is there an Apple Watch app?
Yes. The watchOS app installs automatically alongside the iPhone app and shows your medications and days remaining on your wrist.
Are there Home Screen or Lock Screen widgets?
Yes. Long-press your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap to edit widgets, and add DoseLeft. The widget shows the days remaining for the medications you are tracking.
How do I edit, reset, or delete a medication?
Tap any medication in the list to edit its details, change the dose count, or delete it. You can also reset or remove all data from the Settings screen.
Does DoseLeft work without internet?
Yes. The app is fully usable offline. Internet is only needed if you have iCloud sync enabled and want changes to propagate between your devices.
